Sitting correctly!!

  • Sit well back on the seat and use the complete seat area.
  • Raise the seat so that your elbows rest on the surface of your desk and your shoulder muscles are relaxed.
  • If your chair has a seat tilt feature, activate this so that there are no pressure points on the underside of your thighs. The opening angle of the torse (hip angle) should - despite the support of the backrest - in general be wider than 90°/95° so that the resulting inclination of the pelvis engenders the erection of the torse.
  • Adjust the height of the backrest so that the lumbar supports (strongest part of the backrest upholstery) is roughly on a level with your belt.
  • Adjust the backrest counterpressure so that the upper part of the body is vertical, but not pushed forwards.
  • If your chair has height and width-adjustable armrests adjust their width so that your elbows do not rest against your body. The height of the armrests is correct if the elbows rest on them and your shoulder and neck muscles are relaxed
